The next question as it pertains to your safety in believing in this team has to do with the other teams in the division. Currently, Washington is without their starting quarterback for the remainder of 2018. Their offensive line is being held together by duct tape and their receiving corps pumps no fear into opponents.

The Eagles are decimated by injuries in their secondary while their quarterback is struggling to regain his mojo after returning from a torn ACL that occurred around this time last season.

Last, and least, actually, the Giants appear to be another going through yet another dumpster fire of a season. This is all a very fancy way of saying that, at minimum, the Dallas Cowboys should be looked upon as the best team in the division.

The third component to all of this is the remaining schedule Dallas has ahead of themselves. Looking at their remaining five games, they should be a favorite to win all but next week’s tilt against New Orleans. If they can do what they are “supposed” to do, that would give them 10 wins.

Ten wins is key because it would require Washington to also win four of their final five and Philadelphia to win all six of their games. If Dallas does finish 2018 with double-digit wins, that would eliminate the Giants from the conversation.

Since Washington and Philadelphia still have two games against each other, one of those two teams will lose at least one game, if not both. If you’re an astute fan, you’ll actually root for the Eagles in both of these games because Philadelphia still has a date with the Los Angeles Rams.

Two losses for Washington and a loss by Philadelphia to the Rams and ten wins for Dallas guarantees them the division.
