Tight Ends

September Grade: D
October Grade: D

Last month, this unit received a “D” as opposed to an “F” due to their work in the run game. That work has not been as stellar, however, they have been better in the pass-catching forum.

As such, their grade remains the same because neither aspect has been good or bad enough to shift the mark. Beyond that, there isn’t much to say about this unit.

Offensive Line

September Grade: B+
October Grade: C+

It’s officially time to start to worry about several aspects of this group. Last month, I was reluctant, almost defiant, in placing blame on the offensive line. This month, I cannot continue to neglect what my eyes see.

Left tackle Tyron Smith looks a step slower. Guard Connor Williams is still susceptible to bull rushes. Right tackle La’el Collins has been penalized more this month. The rushing game has been poor. Prescott was sacked nine times in three games. All bad things.

There are definitely issues that could, stop me if you’ve heard this before, be fixed with better coaching and scheme. Still, players need to win along the line in order for teams to be successful and right now, that’s not happening with this unit.
