Cowboys at Redskins: 3 things you need to know before Sunday
3. Cowboys dominating the rivalry
In the last 10 matchups between the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins, the Cowboys have posted an 8-2 record, and one loss came in a meaningless Week 17 game at the end of the 4-12 2016 season. Dallas has also won four straight against Washington in the past two seasons.
Now streaks are meant to be broken, and obviously, this year’s teams are very different on both sides than teams in the past, but there is something to be said about this impressive record that the Cowboys have against Washington. Sometimes teams just have another teams number, and it seems like the Cowboys are this way with the Redskins.
Dak Prescott always seems to play very well against Washington, including his performance on Thanksgiving in 2016 that may be the best game of his career to date.
Overall I believe the Cowboys are a better team than the Washington Redskins this season point blank. They have more talent at almost every position on their roster and have a star in running back Ezekiel Elliott that Washington has yet to find on their roster.
This game is going to come down to protecting the football, and if Dak Prescott and the Cowboys offense can do this, which I believe they will, I see them walking out of Washington with a convincing victory. Come Sunday we will find out if the Cowboys can continue the domination, but if the past is any indicator look for Dallas to come out with a victory on Sunday afternoon.
