Dallas Cowboys: 5 predictions that were so wrong for 2018

3. The Cowboys would be better without Dez Bryant

Yes, the wide receiver is passionate. He might speak his mind when all the big minds in Big D have closed doors. But one thing is clear: The Dallas Cowboys need Dez Bryant. They needed him over the summer and they need him now.

The sad part of this all is that he needs the team as well. Unfortunately, at this junction, the team doesn’t want to admit this iceberg size of a mistake and re-sign him.

My takeaway from Bryant’s Twitter account is that his emotional lashes on social media and refusal to sign elsewhere flow from one water well: His love for the Dallas Cowboys and only the Dallas Cowboys. His veins pump silver and blue, and like all families, loved ones throw fits when things go sideways. The Cowboys cut him but sadly, I don’t think Dez cut the Cowboys out.

It was a mistake (and still is) to let him go.
