4. Let Dak Prescott run the football

When the Dallas Cowboys let Dak Prescott run the football they win games, point blank. Since Prescott entered the league, the Cowboys are 14-4 in contests that he has four or more carries.

The Cowboys refused to let Prescott run the ball until trailing late in the fourth quarter in their loss to Seattle in Week Three. Dallas not having a single quarterback rush through the first three-quarters of the game on Sunday is unacceptable.

Using Prescott in the run game opens up so many things for this Dallas offense. It makes the zone read with Elliott much harder to defend. It adds another element of a quarterback run to the passing game. And it also makes it harder to defend against play action.

At this current state of his career, running the football may be the thing Prescott is best at. And if the Cowboys want to turn their offense around, they need to use this to their advantage.

Weighing in a 238 lbs., Dak Prescott has the body to withstand hits and be a constant factor in the running game every week like Carolina Panthers’ quarterback Cam Newton. If Dallas wants better play from their quarterback, they need to let him start doing what he does best more often.
