#2. The defense is doing their part

You know, with three games in the books, I have to say that this Cowboys defense is giving this team a chance. A chance to win, a chance for glory. They have done their parts, gaining admiration from every football corner around the nation.

But, the Cowboys have to play offense to win out. This is no secret recipe. Prescott has not thrown more than 170 yards in any of his three starts thus far. Overall, he has two touchdown passes and two interceptions. Though he has 85 yards rushing on 14 attempts, his quarterback rating is at pedestrian level of 74.9.

To sum: See number one on the previous page.

#3. Leighton Vander Esch

Many believed the Cowboys would take receiver Calvin Ridley with the first pick. The 26th overall pick had a breakout game for the Atlanta Falcons, catching seven balls for 146 yards and three scores. Wow. The 23-year old is here.

With Sean Lee in and out of the lineup, now is the time for the Cowboys’ 2018 pick to step up. Number 55 also had a breakout game against Seattle. He totaled 11 tackles, a career high. The Cowboys need the 19th overall pick with Lee banged up. He has not registered a sack, but could that change against the Lions?
