A true test for this young defense

The Giants certainly have problems with their offensive line. What they do not have is a lack of talent in their skill positions.

Receivers Odell Beckham, Jr. and Sterling Shepard, along with tight end Evan Engram and Barkley make a nice set of offensive weapons. These players will be a very good test to see if last week’s defensive performance was a fluke for the Dallas Cowboys.

It will be interesting to see if the Cowboys can stifle the Giants rushing attack without employing extra men in the box. If they can be successful doing so, it will allow more attention to be devoted to Beckham.

Last week, he put up 111 yards while facing one of the best cornerbacks in all of football. Beckham is not only dynamic but undoubtedly itching to face Dallas after missing both games last season.

Historically, the Cowboys have been able to keep him in check for the most part. In six games versus Dallas, OBJ has just one 100+-yard receiving day. They will need more of that effort tonight if they want to walk out victorious.

Prediction:

Giants 13, Cowboys 17
