Defensive Tackle

Dominique Easley – Trade with the Los Angelas Rams

Dominque Easley is coming off of a pretty good season last year but with the addition of Ndamukong Suh, he becomes expendable. The Dallas Cowboys are always looking to add more beef to that defensive line and Easley having the ability to play the run and get pressure on the quarterback would be a perfect addition.

Ziggy Hood – Trade with the Washington Redskins

Ziggy Hood is another player that is being pushed off of a team by younger players like recently drafted defensive tackles Da’ron Payne and Tim Settle. Hood is better at putting pressure on the quarterback and decent in the running game. Again the Dallas Cowboys may be able to use his rush ability to their advantage.

Quarterback

Teddy Bridgewater – Trade with the New York Jets

Teddy Bridgewater has looked great this preseason but the Jets like Josh McCown’s ability to help groom the young rookie Sam Darnold. This leaves Bridgewater as the possible odd man out. The Dallas Cowboys need a quality backup quarterback and right now Cooper Rush and the rookie Mike White aren’t blowing anyone away with their gameplay. Trading for Bridgewater would be a nice insurance policy if anything were to happen to Dak Prescott.

Joshua Dobbs – Trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers

Joshua Dobbs is another quarterback that is sitting behind an established backup quarterback in Landry Jones. It still remains to be seen if the Steelers will keep three quarterbacks. Dobbs play on the field is a lot like Dak Prescott’s and the Cowboys could use that if Prescott were to get hurt. When you don’t have to change an offense to fit another quarterback the team can hopefully keep clicking.
