Tight End

Hayden Hurst – South Carolina

Tight end would be a position that the Cowboys should be able to get the pick of the litter at 19th overall.

With only the Dolphins ahead of Dallas projected as having a big need at this position, the Cowboys could nab an upper echelon prospect.

This particular position has no clear cut number one prospect but two players are generally considered in the running.

With the options being Hayden Hurst or Dallas Goedert, I have the Cowboys leaning towards Hurst.

At 6’5” and 250 lbs, Hurst ran a 4.67-forty yard dash so you can check off both the size and speed boxes.

Hurst has elite feet and is able to separate from linebackers in coverage.  He has a good feel for zone coverages and reliable hands, too.

In fact, Hurst had just one drop and 100 receptions during his three years at South Carolina.

Hurst does need to refine his route running and improve as a blocker.

Thankfully, he would have one of the best tight ends ever to learn from.
