2018 NFL Draft, First Round Mock – Dallas Cowboys’ surprising pick

8. Chicago Bears- Calvin Ridley WR Alabama

The Bears had the 7th least receiving yards per game in 2017, and Calvin Ridley will instantly improve this as the Bears take the best wide receiver in this years class.

9. San Fransisco 49ers- Derwin James S Florida State

The 49ers have a need to address in their secondary, and they take one of the most gifted athletes in the draft, playmaking safety Derwin James.

10. Oakland Raiders- Roquan Smith LB Georgia

Jon Gruden’s first pick back with the Raiders goes to trying to help their defense that gave up 23 ppg last season, and they take a chance on the highly talented Georgia linebacker, Roquan Smith. Smith can be the centerpiece of Jon Gruden’s new defense.

11. Miami Dolphins- Tremaine Edmunds LB Virginia Tech

The Dolphins are another team that could go a variety of different ways with their first round pick. They decide to take the stud linebacker Termaine Edmunds, after his extremely impressive NFL Combine performance.

12. Cincinnati Bengals- Kolton Miller OT UCLA

The Bengals desperately need help on their offensive line protecting quarterback Andy Dalton, and they will get it with the giant 6’9 offensive tackle Kolton Miller.
