In case you have not been made aware, the Dallas Cowboys will be getting back a running back of greater talent than either Gurley or Fournette.

This game marks the return of one Ezekiel Elliott.

Last year’s rushing champion comes back from his six game suspension to hopefully carry the Dallas Cowboys to the finish line and beyond.

Currently Elliott sits at 16th in overall rush yards. With a 100+ yard day, he can vault himself back into the top ten. Not too bad for a guy who was forced to miss six games, eh?

The return of Zeke highlights what to watch for in this epic showdown between two desperate teams fighting for their postseason lives.

  • Beyond the obvious, the return of Elliott should make a huge difference to the way this offense looks. In the past six games, Dallas scored more than 20 points twice. One game was aided by a punt return for touchdown and another saw Dallas with just 10 points midway through the fourth quarter.

Prior to the suspension, Dallas ran off six straight games scoring 21 or more. Can the Cowboys get that mojo back immediately? I have a feeling Elliott will be eager to make a big difference in this game. His presence will certainly uplift this team and make everyone better. It will not be a surprise Elliott puts up big numbers as well.

  • Staying on the offensive side of the ball, last week was yet another struggle for quarterback Dak Prescott. Facing a defense in the bottom third in the league and dead last in interceptions, Prescott was able to throw for just 212 yards. He did not throw for a touchdown but did have two interceptions.
