Dallas Cowboys face NFC West ‘has-been’ Week 16
I boldly predicted that the Dallas Cowboys would beat the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks in their own living room back in ’14 and I told you exactly why. For different reasons, I’m predicting the same thing this time, although with a bit less of the Jimmy Johnson bravado that I used before.
The main reason being is that the Dallas Cowboys have no fear of the Seahawks, as Ezekiel Elliott proved last year in a preseason game at Seattle that marked his debut wearing the blue star under the lights. If Chancellor didn’t phase the eventual ’16 rookie rushing champ, you think that fifth-year undrafted journeyman Bradley McDougald will?
C’mon.
If the Seahawks thought that Todd Gurley and his 180 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns were a problem last week, then the highly anticipated return of Elliott for a rolling Dallas Cowboys team that’s hungry for the playoffs isn’t going to make life any better.
Remember that this is the home finale for the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium, so the closest ’12th Man’ affiliation would actually be about two and a half hours south in College Station and they couldn’t care less about the Seahawks.
Seattle might have another year or two of playoff performance left in them moving forward, but to contend again this team will have to draft extraordinarily well over the next couple of seasons and also say some difficult goodbyes – this is the consequence of early success for a young team in the NFL.
The new kids on the block today are the Dallas Cowboys, who many feel would be the most dangerous team in the NFC playoffs if they qualify. Pulling the curtains on the Seahawks on Sunday will only help their chances.

Cowboys vs. Seahawks is not a game to play with and it’s a game the Seahawks could win – but there’s positively no reason why they should. If ever there was an example of two franchises going opposite directions, this might be it.
Prediction:
Dallas Cowboys – 31
Seattle Seahwks – 13
