Four things to watch as Dallas Cowboys start training camp

#4 – What new wrinkles for Dak Prescott will this offense feature?
For everyone worried about a sophomore slump or teams having tape on Prescott to expose him, remember this…
Last season, Prescott played in a system that was lightly tweaked to his skill set but still very much built for Tony Romo. The Cowboys have had the entire offseason and now training camp to unveil a system now built for Dak.
How much different that will look than last year remains to be seen. I don’t suppose that Dallas will show too much of it in games but you should see a lot of it in practice. This will still be a team that focuses on the running game but expect Dak to have more input and control.
As with anything new, the possibilities are quite exciting.
After the bitter playoff loss and and a rather noisy offseason, it’s likely that the only ones more excited about training camp than the fans are the players. Finally, football is back. The journey to get back to the playoffs and earn retribution starts Monday.
