Quarterbacks: 2

Projected starter: Dak Prescott

Projected backup: Kellen Moore

Potential practice squad player: Cooper Rush

Second year signal caller Dak Prescott is coming off of one of the most historic rookie seasons in NFL history and has a firm grasp on the starting quarterback job.

Dak has worked diligently to improve as a passer this offseason and I expect his work ethic and leadership qualities to allow him to avoid a sophomore slump and continue progressing towards becoming a top tier passer in the NFL.

Kellen Moore is recovered from the broken leg that he suffered in last year’s training camp and his high football IQ and accuracy will likely allow him to stick around as the team’s backup.

Cooper Rush, an undrafted rookie out of Central Michigan, has respectable size and accuracy as a passer and could develop as a future backup. I doubt that the Cowboys can afford to keep a third quarterback on the 53 man roster due to depth at other positions so it is likely he winds up running the scout team on the practice squad.

Next, let’s cover the running backs…
