Round 6 (212th overall)

Kenny Golladay- 6’4″ 194 pounds- wide receiver- Northern Illinois

Golladay is a size and speed prospect with impressive upside and a skill set that indicates he can be a vertical threat as a fourth receiver from the start.

He is a long strider that builds up speed in a very similar fashion to former Cowboys receiver and current free agent Brice Butler.

Golladay uses his size and arm length to extend and snatch the ball away from his body and at its highest point.

RELATED STORY: Should the Dallas Cowboys trade up in the first round?

He is an aggressive catcher that rarely allows the ball to come to him which is a quality trait to have- quarterbacks can trust that he won’t hang them out to dry on contested passes.

He doesn’t play with a lot of strength to be able to fight off of jams when corners decide to press him. He does have the length and frame that will support more muscle which bodes well for physical development.

He can be an impact receiver as a deep threat in the Cowboys offense with the potential to develop into a quality starter. Best suited to play the “Z” receiver where he can line up off the line of scrimmage and go in motion to avoid press coverage.
