Dak Prescott. Ezekiel Elliott. And Maliek Collins.

Why not stick to the rookie trio?

The Cowboys have shown they can win without Dez Bryant. Cole Beasley could be a nice third option, but that would ruin the rookie lineup I have envisioned.

Picture this picture perfect scenario: The Dallas Cowboys ride into the playoffs with three strong rookies from this year’s rookie NFL Draft class.

Collins, 21, registered his first NFL sack last Sunday against the Brownies.

He liked it so much he registered another one against quarterback Cody Kessler.

He has 12 tackles for the season.

The defensive tackle was actually selected higher than Dak Prescott, going to the Cowboys in the third round.

The former Husker is fitting nicely into defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli’s system.

The coach even smiled on the sidelines — a rarity from the former head coach.

If things continue to spiral up for the rookie trio, why not call them the new triplets?
