2. Tony Romo will never step foot on the field

I take no pleasure in writing this in.

But with 23-year-old Dak Prescott learning and growing right before the nation’s eyes, it’s hard to see the former QB one take back his spot.

I held all along on this platform and Twitter to never swallow Jerry Jones‘ words about this being Romo’s team when he was cleared fit for duty.

The Cowboys don’t expect Romo to even dress for the Pittsburgh game, according to Ian Rapport over at NFL Network. He was initially thought to be available for the Eagles game. And then the Browns game.

At this point, the Dallas Cowboys will continue to play out the luxury of having two very, very gifted quarterbacks on their roster.

Even if Dak Prescott is to have a bad series or two, a bad game or two (he will look like a rookie again at some point), this job is his pending an injury.

Could you play GM and pull out Prescott? Consider his numbers.

He is running a 104.2 quarterback rating (fourth best in NFL at the time of this writing), 12 touchdowns to two interceptions, a 66.5 completion percentage, and thus far has thrown for 2,020 yards.
