3. Stephen Jones is the one true King

Johnny Manziel was almost a Dallas Cowboy. Paxton Lynch is part of the Denver Broncos organization now, but he was almost designated to be a Dallas Cowboy had the price not been too high.

The current executive vice president and chief operating officer was the one who told his father, Jerry Jones, that Manziel was not the chosen one. Stephen Jones was also the man who told his father the price to land Paxton Lynch was too high.

He is the one who says “no” in Dallas.

If Dak Prescott becomes the future of the Dallas Cowboys, taking on one of the most documented positions in all of sports, the credit goes to Stephen Jones and boosts his credibility. This can only translate to more success in the future.

The team already boasts the best offensive line in the league. They have a rookie sensation in Ezekiel Elliott, who has yet to take on a meaningful NFL snap. Dez Bryant is still Dez Bryant. The Cowboys have a future playmaker and valued starter in Jaylon Smith at the middle linebacker spot when he heals.

There are a lot of things to love around the Dallas Cowboys right now. Dak Prescott can add more to that love if he gets better, which is something the Cowboys are banking on.
