Numero Cinco: And The Training Camp MVP Award Goes To?

Let’s have some fun here.

Orlando Scandrick is fighting back into football shape. Tony Romo is doing the same. Sean Lee is around. Brandon Carr took a pay cut. Morris Claiborne is still trying to prove he’s Morris Claiborne from LSU. Jason Garrett is clapping. And Jerry Jones is waving his magical wand to entice you all things Dallas Cowboys.

Now, which of the big names from the group will stick out? Who will use the month of August to spring-board themselves into the month of September.

Ezekiel Elliott? The offensive line? A pass rusher? A pass rusher and a half?

How about a Rolando McClain sighting? Oh wait, never mind.

For what it’s worth, I have my money on the linebacker group. Sean Lee is back at the MIKE spot. Anthony Hitchens and Justin Durant are around and hungry. If there’s one group in the defensive unit to step up and leap off the page, I think it’s the linebacker group despite McClain’s interruptions.

The linebackers will be the nucleus of the defense, the core if you will. Well, that’s my hope anyways.

Now, about that second cup of coffee?
