Number Five:

• I wonder if all the positive vibes around Dallas is just that: Positive vibes.

There’s a long way to go still until the Cowboys open up their season against the New York Giants on September 11th at AT&T Stadium.

It’s nice that Romo is returning to form, that Dez Bryant is healing and looking stronger than ever, that Rolando McClain is back, that the Cowboys got the running back roster filled up with quality backs, that the offensive line is intact, that Sean Lee is healing, but does this all throw shade to the many, many questions left lingering?

For example, take the defensive side of the house. (Insert Orlando Scandrick wonders from above here.)

Are the Cowboys masking the problems on the defense by spotlighting the talents on the offense, and will this continue to hold water throughout the summer and into the autumn when football gets real?

It’s a major lingering concern, which won’t yield despite all the arrows pointing to the talents on the offense.

I can’t help but wonder.
