What it really means to be a Dallas Cowboys fan
About the Rest of the NFC East Division
We get that the rest of the NFC East Division dislikes the Cowboys with a passion. Other fans dislike our trophies, our stadiums, our history, our success. Our Tony Romo.
Look: I get it.
HEAD TO HEAD MATCH UP STATS
vs. Washington Redskins | 66 wins | 42 losses | 2 Ties
vs. New York Giants | 62 wins | 43 losses | 2 Ties
vs. Philadelphia Eagles | 61 wins | 49 losses | 0 Ties
From a real Dallas fans’ perspective, we think the other teams in the division are bridesmaids. The real competition isn’t in the division; it’s outside of it. The games within in the division are always fun because of the rich history and spilled blood between the squads.
To be clear, though, Cowboys fans just see the games as a stepping stone to the playoffs, where the real games are played.
It might be a Giants or Eagles Sunday Night NBC special for those fans, but, again, it’s just another small hurdle for a Cowboys fan.
The real games Cowboys fans concentrate on?
The ones with teams that are winning, and doing it often. Teams like the San Francisco 49ers (five championships), the Pittsburgh Steelers (six championships) and the New England Patriots (four championships).
To sum it up, I’ll reference UFC Connor McGregor’s statement about winners and losers. Losers concentrate on the Dallas Cowboys, and the Cowboys concentrate on winning. That’s why real Dallas fans have no idea what’s going with other NFL teams.
They spend time loving their own squad, while non-fans choose to invest all their time hating the Cowboys over loving their own team.
