2014: Arizona Cardinals – Deone Bucannon

Deone Bucannon joined the Cardinals from Washington State. He appeared in 16 games last season where he made 68 tackles and two sacks.

Injuries and suspensions to the Cardinals meant that Bucannon’s position changed somewhat, spending a lot of his playing time at linebacker.

He finished the season second on the team for tackles.

Considering he hadn’t any experience playing at linebacker or even an in the box role it points to a player with good footballing intelligence and determination.

Teammate Rashad Johnson believes Bucannon has a fine footballing future ahead of him.

"“He’s going to be a really, really special player for the Cardinals for years to come, just because his mindset and his drive for perfection.”"

The Cowboys have been strongly linked with Damarious Randall from Arizona State.

Officially a safety but in a cornerback’s body, maybe he could be the man the Cowboys take at 27.

With the team utilizing his skills across the secondary, he could be the Bucannon type draftee.
