Win. That’s what the 2014 Dallas Cowboys’ team has over its previous seasons’ renditions. The culture has officially changed and in games where the Dallas Cowboys usually find ways to lose, they’re doing the exact opposite. In the meantime, thank Zeus for health insurance.

At this rate, I probably won’t live much longer so let me enjoy writing these articles while I still can. My heart gave out a few times during yesterday’s game against the Houston Texans. Dubbed as the “Battle of Texas”, the Cowboys were all set to come in and show that this wasn’t meant to be a battle at all. It was going to be a reminder of who owns the Lone Star state.

This was anything but. The Dallas Cowboys defense came in as hungry as ever and played with wreckless abandon. Down our highly effective linebacker Bruce Carter we were already weakened on that side of the ball, but, I couldn’t tell. We would see the Cowboys’ defense start off with a three and out and never really look back from there. No rear view mirrors on this ride.

And then it happened. The Cowboys’ offense took the field. Time after time, drive after drive, they gave us nothing but turnovers and failed third down conversions. Another fumble for running back DeMarco Murray that puts him at a total of four lost fumbles for the season. A possible seven points left on the field.

I am Jack’s anxiety attack. Instead of a highly likely touchdown, we gave the ball back to Houston like we could write it off on our taxes. There was more charity to come, however, via Dallas Cowboys’ quarter back Tony Romo. After having another terrific start where he was extremely sharp on his pocket presence and reads, Romo would hot route Dez right into a Texans’ trap. Interception number five of the season would follow.
