6. Dan Bailey, Kicker

Dan ‘the money man’ Bailey. Has there ever been a more reliable Cowboys player? Against St Louis Rams in Week Three Bailey broke the franchise record for consecutive field goals. Chris Boniol held the previous record with twenty seven field goals in 1999. Bailey continued his hot streak with a one hundred percent kicking stat versus the Saints.

When providing on-line commentary for Cowboys games on UKCowboysFans.com I’m guilty of assuming every field goal is made without even waiting for Bailey’s completion. Executive vice president Stephen Jones recognizes the pressure put upon the Cowboys kicker.

"“It’s so unfair to count on it. You shouldn’t, but he’s amazing, we pay him a lot of money to do that, and he steps up and does it. He’s got ice water in his veins. He’s a hell of a kicker.”"
