Dallas Cowboys Problems: Will The Real Tony Romo Please Stand Up?

So much went wrong in this game and most of it revolved around the offensive coaching staff and Romo. For once, his play is indefensible, even by his most staunch supporters. (i.e., me) Therefore, I won’t insult myself by trying. This was a performance best left permanently in Week One. Bad games happen. Tragic games happen. We witnessed a little bit of both from Romo on Sunday. I look forward to never having to see it again. The Tennessee Titans will give us a great chance to get on track next Sunday. A Week One loss is still just a Week One loss, no matter how much it stings. And this one is a nest of hornets.

Sure, Mr. Jones. Stop talking, please. Now, as we head to Week Two, take solace in the fact that you’ll never see Romo play like this again. I expect this to burn him deeply and he’ll work hard to get back to form. You’ll see Linehan help him out by keeping to the run in the red zone. Why am I so optimistic of this? Because my children can’t learn daddy’s bad words. Besides, who gives up after Week One? Go Cowboys.

Honorable Mention: The Dallas Cowboys’ defensive front seven saw us pressure, hurry, and sack Niners quarterback Colin Kaepernick on several occasions. And that was without key starters. Rolando McClain showed up and showed out. Our defensive line collapsed the pocket and made Kaepernick eat turf. I predicted they’d effect the game and they did. They held to offense to only 21 points. I’m beyond impressed and they’ll get even better as starters return. Now, if only the defensive backs could actually contribute. If only…
