Dallas Cowboys fans are still reeling from the team's Wild Card loss. The dejection likely intensified after the Packers took the vulnerable 49ers to the wire on Saturday night. Regardless, the sheer toxicity has spread like wildfire on social media and even got back to family members of the Cowboys' superstar trio: CeeDee Lamb, Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons.

Let's start with Lamb and Prescott.

The Fox broadcast caught Prescott and Lamb trying to resolve early miscommunication issues against the Packers. That incited panic among fans, and rightfully so, as the Cowboys offense didn't get in-sync until the game was out of reach.

While we'd point to the defense has the main culprit for the Wild Card loss, it wasn't Prescott's best game. Coming off the best regular season of his career, Prescott looked unsure of himself against the Packers. He didn't see the field well and his clock was sped up, resulting in inaccurate passes, forced throws and three and outs.

Prescott's future with the Cowboys has since been a polarizing talking point, and Lamb's mother, Leta Ramirez, joined the discourse and pointed fingers at Prescott on Facebook in screenshots captured by fans. Ramirez went as far as to suggest that she wants Lamb to leave the Cowboys and play for another team.

It's important to note that Ramirez's comments don't necessarily reflect Lamb's viewpoint. It's silly to think Ramirez was speaking for Lamb.

The All-Pro receiver has spoken glowingly of Prescott and the Cowboys organization at every turn since he was drafted in 2020. He's committed to winning a Super Bowl, and even tabled discussing his looming contract extension until after the season.

We'd refrain from overreacting to Ramirez's tirade. Lamb's body language suggested he wasn't pleased with the Cowboys performance, but there's no evidence to suggest he's unhappy with Prescott or the organization.

The same can be said for Prescott, but his brother, Tad, is sick of fans chastising the quarterback on social media.

Dak Prescott's brother goes after Cowboys fans on social media

Here's what Tad Prescott tweeted as the Prescott discourse reached a boiling point.

Say what you will about Tad's social media presence and engaging "fans", but it's easy to understand his frustration. Fans have pinned the Wild Card loss on Prescott despite the fact that Mike McCarthy and Dan Quinn were out-coached and out-schemed by the Packers.

Prescott himself admitted that he "sucked" in the game, but anyone who watched the game recognizes the loss wasn't on him.

At the end of the day, Tad has nothing but respect for the Cowboys organization and city of Dallas. Put yourself in his shoes for a moment. Would you want your family member to continue playing for a team whose "fans" show little appreciation for the best thing the franchise has going for it?

Probably not. We'd just encourage Tad to focus his energy on the fans who recognize that Prescott isn't the problem.

Micah Parsons addresses brother's cryptic comments

Lamb's mother, Prescott's brother and now Parsons' brother.

Like Prescott and Lamb, Parsons has received a large amount of online criticism for his no-sack showing against the Packers. Parsons has been accused of caring more about building his brand than winning a Super Bowl, which is silly beyond comprehension. However, thecriticism sparked a flammable reaction from Parsons' brother, Terrence, on social media.

“I can’t wait because y’all are really clueless out here,” Terrence Parsons said on Twitter/X. “The greatest crimes to this man is being done by his own organization... Y’all gonna miss him when he goneeeeeeeee.”

The tweet got picked up by the national media, which prompted Parsons himself to intervene by restating his allegiance to the Cowboys.

That's a relief, though we couldn't call the fire totally extinguished.

Ultimately, nothing good can come from players' family members having a prominent social media voice, eviscerating players and hinting at players' departures. Maybe the contempt blows over as we get longer removed from the loss, but the Cowboys organization needs to nip the apparent tension between the Lamb, Prescott and Parsons families in the bud.

The players might downplay it to the media, but Dallas stands no chance at reaching its ceiling next season and beyond if this continues. Improving their play on the field is one thing, but having to overcome family-created distractions on social media is an unnecessary obstacle, even if the family members had good intentions behind their posts.
