1. Cowboys trade up for star running back

This offseason, the Cowboys finally decided to part ways with Ezekiel Elliott. While the move made plenty of sense, it was still a bit surprising to see the Jones family finally admit they needed to move on. Most who followed this team expected there to be a revised contract agreed upon, but in the end, the right call was made.

With Elliott gone, Dallas is now banking on Tony Pollard as their star back. He’s proven he’s up to the task, recording 1,007 yards on the ground with nine touchdowns in 2022. However, he’s playing on a one-year franchise tag and coming off a fractured fibula and high ankle sprain.

He should be ready to go by the start of the season but this front office isn’t going to like putting all their eggs in one basket after four years of having Zeke and Pollard together. That’s why this final bold prediction is that they will trade up in the first round to go after Texas star Bijan Robinson.

In three seasons at Texas, Robinson had 4,215 yards from scrimmage with 41 total touchdowns. With a high-powered passing game already, the Cowboys could become one of the most dangerous teams in the league by adding Robinson to their backfield.

How much they have to surrender will depend on how long he lasts but if he gets into the 15-18 range, the Cowboys might be able to move up with just a third-round pick as the price (and No. 17 looks like a sweet spot for them to target a deal with the Pittsburg Steelers).

If this were to happen, look for them to also drop down some in Round 2 as they look to recoup some selections to fulfill these previous bold predictions.
