2. Cowboys Coral the King

Dallas knows that if they want to win this game they are going to need to stop the Titans’ best weapon, Derrick Henry, but that’s easier said than done. Especially for a defense that has had trouble stopping most running games this season. The loss of Jonathan Hankins can’t be lost on the Cowboys’ most recent inability to stop the opposing teams running game, but they won’t get him back until playoff time. In the meantime, they will need the players they do have to step up at a time when they are most needed.

The Titans are averaging 26 rushing attempts per game and with the Cowboys’ struggles to defend it you can see that number rising this week. The one thing that will help this Dallas defense this week is their speed and gang tackling. In order to stop Henry you have to hit him early in order to stop him from gaining momentum and using his size and strength to his advantage. Look for the Cowboys to continue this as they hold Henry in check for most of the game on Thursday.

Game Prediction: Cowboys hold Henry to 75 yards on the ground.
