2. “CeeDee Lamb Will Be a Top 10 Receiver”

This one is probably the most likely to come true. Not only is CeeDee Lamb the new WR1 in town, but he will also have to make up for Gallup’s absence in the first couple of weeks of the season. That means, based on increased targets alone, Lamb should automatically improve on his Pro Bowl-nod-worthy season from last year.

Even with the presence of Gallup and Cooper last year, Lamb led the receiving corps in targets (120), receptions (79) and yards (1,102). With two of the main receivers from the 2021 roster now in different cities, expect many of those targets to go Lamb’s way.

Of course, he does need to work on the drops, but Lamb has looked good in all offseason programming. He has told reporters he is truly ready to take on this new role.

Here’s some math and further breakdown from Ballentine:

"That could lead to Lamb having a target share that is similar to some of the best receivers in the league. With an increased role, he has the ability to prove he’s a top-10 receiver in the league. Based on Lamb’s efficiency last season, an additional 35 targets could see him post a 102/1,421/8 campaign. That would have ranked 11th in receptions, fifth in yards, 15th in touchdowns and the No. 7 highest-scoring PPR receiver in fantasy football last season."

Don’t be surprised to see this one come true. Lamb was even listed as a dark horse to outright lead the league in receiving yards altogether.
