The 5 former Cowboys nominated for the College Football Hall of Fame
4. Ken Norton Jr., LB, UCLA
Ken Norton Jr. was a linebacker who had a very long career in the NFL. He played a total of 13 years in the league from 1988 to 2000 after getting drafted in the second round by the Cowboys. He spent his first six years in Dallas and his final seven in San Francisco. After his rookie year, he started in every single game he played for the Cowboys.
Before Dallas, the linebacker spent his college years at UCLA. He was a running back and was converted to linebacker when he got to the Bruins. Norton Jr. helped lead the Bruins to four consecutive bowl game wins and led the team in tackles in 1986 and 1987. He was the team’s defensive MVP, an All-American, and a finalist for the Butkus Award in 1987.
Not only is Norton Jr. in the UCLA Hall of Fame, but he is now back in Westwood at his alma mater as the team’s linebackers coach after coaching in the NFL for 11 years.
