2. Tariq Woolen, CB, UTSA

According to ESPN, Woolen is the No. 1 available cornerback prospect left on the draft board. The best cornerbacks of the draft have already been taken, but Woolen has a lot of talent.  Woolen offers a truly unique blend of size, length, and athleticism with a high upside. He could certainly give Anthony Brown a run for his money.

The 6-4, 205-pound athlete ran a 4.26-second, 40-yard dash time which blew away scouts at the NFL Combine. That’s what you get when you’re a receiver turned cornerback. He may still be learning the position, but his physical traits aren’t something you can coach.

Another upside to the UTSA product is his awareness and vision, which will allow him to join the ballhawk on the Dallas defense. In his film, you can tell Woolen has a knack for anticipating throws and getting a jump on the ball.

Despite playing in Conference USA, the UTSA player held his own at the Senior Bowl, keeping up with some of the best talent in this draft. The Cowboys are not known for focusing heavily on the secondary, but Woolen would be an incredibly exciting pick. With some time under Quinn, this cornerback can emerge into an outstanding and unique pro. Having Trevon Diggs and Woolen on each corner would be incredibly exciting for Dallas.
