A Dallas Cowboys’ realistic 2022 NFL Draft big board
Team Interest: 10
Team Need: 6
Draft Projection: 6
Total: 22
This one is also no surprise as Jerry Jones has not been shy about his love for Ole Miss edge rusher Sam Williams. There is great interest from both sides as Williams has also expressed interest in joining America’s Team as well.
The need at defensive end since the departure of Randy Gregory has been partially addressed with the signing of Dante Fowler Jr., however, Fowler isn’t expected to be able to replace Gregory alone. Adding Sam Williams can bring in one last piece to help rush the passer.
Currently, it is looking like Williams could sneak into the second round, but it is most likely he goes in the third. Expect the Cowboys to possibly even move up some spots to secure Sam’s services.
Team Interest: 8

Another edge rusher the Cowboys could take in the mid-rounds is Myjai Sanders. Myjai is another 30 visits invitee and could provide more help at the defensive end position. The team is expected to take an edge rusher at some point in the draft and Sanders is a viable option.
The need for pass-rushing grew suddenly this offseason and the Bearcat is a great athlete that can get to the quarterback. Adding him can make for a solid depth rotation involving Dorance Armstrong, Dante Fowler Jr., and Chauncey Gholston.
Currently, Sanders is expected to go in either round three or four. If Dallas wants to make sure they land this DE, they may look to take him here in the third round.
