1. Isaiah Likely, Coastal Carolina

Height: 6’4″ Weight: 240lbs

Career Stats: 133 receptions, 2050 receiving yards, 15.4 yards per reception, 27 touchdowns

When you see Isaiah Likely on the field, he looks more like a big-bodied wide receiver than a tight end. But that doesn’t stop him from getting the job done. His pass-catching ability and run after the catch are pretty evident. However, what I was most impressed with was his run blocking.

Even at his size, he’s a very physical blocker and he uses his leverage very well to get under big defenders in order to hold them up or move them. He will still need to work on getting stronger and adding more weight to sustain a long career and prevent injuries.

Likely is another tight end the Cowboys have spoken to, so that means all three of these tight ends are clearly on the front office’s radar. Regardless of Schultz’s franchise tag, the position currently has little-to-no depth. There are certainly several priorities in this year’s draft, but tight end should be on the list.
