With the 127th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select …

Tre’ Williams, Defensive End – Arkansas

Height:  6’5″    Weight: 255lbs

Career Stats: 111 total tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss, 14.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles

The Cowboys aren’t afraid to draft talented players with troubled pasts in the eyes of many others around the NFL. One player in this year’s draft that they could have their eye on is Tre Williams who comes from Jerry Jones’ very own Arkansas and was their most productive defensive lineman.

A December DWI arrest could make teams reluctant to take a chance on Williams which could work in the Cowboys’ favor if they decide they are going to take the risk and use the same player development plans as they did with Randy Gregory.

If Williams is able to keep himself out of trouble, he could turn out to be a steal for whoever drafts him. He’s got great speed off the edge and an assortment of pass rush moves that he can deploy against offensive linemen. He’s strong enough to bull rush offensive linemen as well.

Previous Pick: Charleston Rambo, Receiver – Miami

NFL Draft Comparison: Dorance Armstrong
