2. Re-sign DE Randy Gregory

Defensive end Randy Gregory has been remarkable for the Cowboys this season. Gregory has tied his career-high mark for sacks in ten games with six and has 16 quarterback hits. The only reason he has missed games this season has been due to injury and COVID-19.

I say that because the fifth-year defensive end has missed time due to off-the-field issues before this season. Gregory has been on the commissioner’s exempt list twice and has only played in 48 career games despite being drafted in 2015.

Even though he has not been the most reliable player in the past, Dallas should take the chance and sign him to a long-term deal.

Even though he fell to the second round in 2015, Gregory had first-round talent and could have been drafted a lot higher. He has had many game-changing plays and is a figure that the Cowboys should want to have around for the long haul. Fans are finally starting to see that talent, which is producing wins for the Cowboys.

The combination of DeMarcus Lawrence, Micah Parsons, and Gregory would be great to carry into 2022. If they at least use the franchise tag on him, he should be around for at least one more season.
