Watch the Top 10 plays from Cowboys training camp so far
#6. CeeDee Lamb stretches out to make the catch
Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is dominating training camp. Therefore, Lamb also dominates our rankings for the top plays coming out of camp. In fact, all 10 plays could easily be his catches.
In the above clip, the newest version of No. 88 is taking on fellow second-year phenom in cornerback Trevon Diggs. Lamb is able to turn, leap, and adjust to a poorly throw ball to the outside and reel it in to the amazement of onlookers. It perfectly demonstrates the astonishing catch radius the talented Mr. Lamb possesses.
#5. Trevon Diggs intercepts the ball in the endzone
Diggs giveth. And Diggs taketh away. Unquestionably the team’s top cornerback entering the regular season, the second-year wunderkind thinks he should have had many more interceptions than the three picks he had last year. And his early performance at training camp would seem to indicate he’ll get more in 2021.
What is most amazing in the above clip is the closing speed. Diggs is able to track his receiver, Noah Brown, all the way across the endzone. And at the last second, flash in front of the receiver, tip the ball, and also catch it off said tip. It’s a great example of his abilities as a defender and as a receiver all wrapped up in one epic highlight.
Also, note that it’s defensive end Randy Gregory with the blanket coverage of running back Tony Pollard in the corner of the endzone. That man’s legend is only growing.
