Dallas Cowboys: Ranking the 5 best draft picks since 2010
#2 – Zack Martin, OG – First Round (2014)
When the Cowboys were on the clock in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft, some wanted Dallas to take Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel. That even included Cowboys owner and general manager, Jerry Jones
Thanks to some influence by his son Stephen, the Cowboys instead selected Zack Martin, an offensive lineman. And Martin was without a doubt the correct choice. The Notre Dame product has been one of the best offensive guards in the NFL since his rookie year.
Martin has been selected to six Pro-Bowl teams along with being named first-team All-Pro four times. Like Tyron Smith, he was also named to the NFL’s All-Decade Team for the 2010s.
Martin has also been quite durable in his career, missing only eight games in his seven years. Once Martin decides to retire his next stop should be in Canton as a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
