Dallas Cowboys full 7-round mock for the 2021 NFL Draft
By Connor Green
Round 7, Pick 237: Quintin Morris, TE – Bowling Green
It was recently reported that the Dallas Cowboys backup tight end Blake Bell signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. That leaves the team with two capable players at the position in Dalton Schultz and Blake Jarwin, who is coming off a season-ending torn ACL last year. The team adds a third player to this rotation with its final pick in the draft with Bowling Green tight end Quintin Morris.
Morris managed to accrue an impressive 13 touchdowns during his collegiate career and had 248 receiving yards last year in five games played.
The six-foot-four, 248-pound pass-catcher is an athletic tight end who could add a nice element to the Cowboy’s offense. The four-year starter had his best statistical year in 2018 when he managed to haul in an astonishing seven touchdowns and 516 receiving yards.
Hopefully, Jarwin can come back and turn into the player that many fans of America’s Team believe he can become. However, this selection should also be viewed as an insurance policy just in case Jarwin either gets hurt again or does not live up to his potential.
With their final pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys go with the best player available while also bolstering depth at the tight end position.
