With the 115th overall pick in the fourth round, the Dallas Cowboys select Chris Rumph II. Defensive end. Duke

Chris Rumph spent the last two seasons as a defensive end for Duke. In 2020, Rumph earned the Second-team All-ACC award. He stands at six-foot-three, 225 pounds. His father, Chris Rumph, is the defensive lineman coach for the Chicago Bears.

Last season, Rumph recorded 53 tackles, one forced fumble, and eight sacks. For his collegiate career, he totaled 125 tackles, five pass deflections, 17.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles.

Whether the Cowboys use him as a defensive end or outside rusher, I’d be interested to see how he shapes up. Whether he puts his hand down or not, I like his speed and versatility. He reminds me of Randy Gregory with his size and speed.

Overall, I love Rumph’s potential at the Edge defender spot. I see tremendous potential. If he falls to the fourth round, which I highly doubt, the Cowboys must grab him and enjoy the potential gem. Again, I don’t see him dropping this low.
