Cowboys were absolutely hosed, but you should still like what you saw
The Dallas Cowboys were in a position to be hosed on Sunday night, but they could have been better in order to not put themselves there.
To be totally fair and realistic though, the Cowboys still have a part in putting themselves in that position. Whether it be the missed field goal early, going for it on fourth down deep in the red zone when they should have kicked the field goal, or being better on the offensive side of the ball, they could have done more to help themselves out there or ensure that they aren’t in that position to begin with.
Other than the actual result of the game, which is the most important thing any other week besides this one, the team looked good in all phases. Even in special teams, although again, that one field goal was missed.
The offense looked multiple and versatile. We saw CeeDee Lamb touches, Tony Pollard touches, and a whole lot of Ezekiel Elliott.
Dak Prescott was crisp, on time, and in stride with his passes. He made a few plays last night that definitely show the continued growth we are looking for. They weren’t the stars of the game though.
As mentioned earlier, that defense deserves all the credit.
The defensive backs were aggressive, swarming, handsy, and always in the area to make a play. There were two of the toughest catches ever made on Trevon Diggs last night, but he was right there on the ball, they were just pro-level catches made by pros but he was right there.
