COWBOYS RUN OFFENSE VS RAMS RUN DEFENSE

The Rams defense will be occupied with multiple receiving weapons and Dallas still has four offensive line starters returning from 2018. Ezekiel Elliott will still need to grind out tough yards. It won’t be ground domination, but there will be opportunities.

ADVANTAGE: RAMS

If Los Angeles has even modest rushing success (100+ yards) it will be a travesty. The Cowboys front seven is significantly more talented and should dominate the Rams line. They have no back even remotely close to Todd Gurley in talent.

COWBOYS PASS OFFENSE VS RAMS PASS DEFENSE

The Rams return the same secondary from 2019 that ranked 12th in passing yards allowed. And Dak Prescott will see pressure from the pass rush. Even so, the new Cowboys offense has far too many weapons to soundly neutralize.

RAMS PASS OFFENSE VS COWBOYS PASS DEFENSE

Los Angeles quarterback Jared Goff will need to have a quick release as he will feel heat from the Dallas pass rush all night. However like Dallas, the Rams have a trio of excellent receivers and a dangerous tight end.

With a makeshift secondary on debut, Dallas should struggle with pass defense in the short to medium range quicker releases.
