Who is the Dallas Cowboys next Pro Bowl offensive lineman?
La’el Collins, RT
The front runner as the next Pro Bowler has to be right tackle La’el Collins. He was signed as an undrafted free agent back in 2015 and began his career with the Cowboys at left guard.
In his rookie season, he began as a backup behind Ronald Leary but won the job in Week 6. It was from then on that the Cowboys knew he would be a crucial part of the offensive line.
Early on, Collins showed his jaw-dropping strength and used that to pancake anyone in the run game. He also held up well when working to protect then quarterback, Tony Romo.
Unfortunately for him, he had a devastating injury in his sophomore season, limiting him to only three games. Thankfully, he was able to recover and get ready for a huge season the following year.
It was the 2017 season that Dallas shifted their left guard to right tackle, after the departure of Doug Free. It did not take too long for Collins to get comfortable playing right tackle for the Cowboys. After all, he did play left tackle in college, and was expected to shift to the right side per NFL analyst Lance Zierlein.

While some questioned how he would translate to the opposite side he was accustomed to and on the edge at the NFL level, he looked at it as an opportunity to prove his worth. The opposition was now up against two offensive tackles that can overpower anyone.
After committing nine penalties in 2018, Collins dropped it to only two in his 15-game 2019 season. While he was always great in the run game, bulldozing everyone in his way, he emerged as a very reliable pass blocker.
Last season he was able to hold Danielle Hunter and Cameron Jordan from sacking quarterback Dak Prescott. Jordan is a five-time Pro Bowler and a first-team All-Pro, and Hunter is an underrated two-time Pro Bowler.
La’el Collins is a great versatile offensive lineman. He looks clean on paper and puts on a highlight reel during games. He can make the Pro Bowl this season.
It looks as if the Dallas Cowboys can’t have anything less than an above-average offensive line. Jerry Jones continues to sign or draft great young offensive linemen with a great upside. Do you think the Cowboys can have the entire starting offensive line in the same Pro Bowl?
