Dallas Cowboys: A way too early 55-man roster prediction
By Tyrone Starr
Wide receivers (6)
Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, CeeDee Lamb, Devin Smith, Cedrick Wilson, Noah Brown
This unit is both young and explosive. Five of the six guys here are under the age of 25, with Smith being the “old man” at 28. Wilson and Brown bring special teams experience and blocking with the other four being a threat to take it to the house at any moment.
Tight ends (3)
Blake Jarwin, Blake Bell, Dalton Schultz
If Jarwin does not materialize into a viable starter, this would easily be the weakest link on the roster. Still, with all the other talent on the field, it should not be a huge deal.
Offensive line (10)
Tyron Smith, Connor Williams, Joe Looney, Zack Martin, La’el Collins, Connor McGovern, Tyler Biadasz, Adam Redmond, Brandon Knight, Mitch Hyatt
This unit has a ton of experience and talent to go along with a few question marks. Coming off the recent retirement of Travis Frederick, two interior starting spots could be different from last season. A new backup swing tackle spot will also be up for grabs. Both have three viable competitors which should make for a very intriguing training camp.
