Dallas Cowboys 2020 Draft: Tight end prospects to keep an eye on
Here we have two mid-round 2020 tight end prospects that the Cowboys could have their eye one in the upcoming NFL Draft.
Harrison Bryant
Florida Atlantic
Height: 6-5
Weight: 240 lbs
Career Stats: 148 receptions, 2,137 yards, and 16 touchdowns
If you watch tape on Bryant you would swear you are watching tape on a younger Zach Ertz. He has excellent hands and presents a consistent threat to opposing defenses. Just like Ertz though he will have to work on his inline blocking in the running game.
But, my guess is that the Dallas Cowboys are looking for more of a weapon than a blocker for this offense. If the Cowboys want to draft Bryant they will have to get him in either the second or third rounds.
Cole Kmet
Notre Dame
Height: 6-6
Weight: 255lbs
Career Stats: 60 receptions, 691 yards, and six touchdowns
Now if the Dallas Cowboys are looking for a true throwback tight end then Kmet is their guys. His game reminds me a lot of the long-time Cowboys tight end Jason Witten, he’s an effective blocker to help in the running game but also a large target that can be a factor in the red zone.
And for a man his size he is very deceptive when it comes to his ability to get up the field to catch passes. The Cowboys would be able to wait on Kmet and try drafting him in either the third or fourth rounds of the draft.
