Play Three: 8:02 left in the third quarter, Dallas Cowboys ball, 3rd & G from the 4-yard line, Jets lead 21-6.

Quarterback Dak Prescott orchestrates a great play call as tight end Jason Witten gets free and scores a well placed out route throw. Dallas cuts the deficit to just one score … Nope. There’s a flag on the play.

Officials call offensive pass interference on receiver Cedrick Wilson for an illegal pick. Replays show Wilson attempting to run his route but getting stopped by a Jets defender who grabs and holds him. This is clearly not offensive pass interference yet Garrett does not think to challenge the call.

Instead, the Cowboys settled for a field goal, making the score 21-9. In case you’re scoring at home, that’s ten points Garrett essentially gave away, thanks to simply having a lack of awareness.
