11 things to digest before the Dallas Cowboys visit the New York Jets

The 3-2 Dallas Cowboys travel to MetLife Stadium to play the winless New York Jets. The Cowboys having nothing at all to fear. Right? (Nervous laughter.)

Well, the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers game was one of the wackiest football contests I have ever witnessed.

From head coach Jason Garrett getting flagged, to all the penalties last Sunday, I am left with one conclusion: the Cowboys and Packers meetings have a propensity to draw in controversy.

If you’re anything like me, a piece of my football mind is still digesting what happened last week at AT&T Stadium, while another part of my brain is zoning in on the 0-4 New York Jets.

So, to reboot, I’ve written 11 things for you to digest before Big D heads over to the Big Apple to face Gang Green. As always, I’ll finish the column with a prediction!

1. A total of 20 flags

Between the Packers and Cowboys, the referees tossed a grand total of 20 flags. The Dallas Cowboys were punished 11 times for 124 yards. Green Bay accounted for nine flags, 78 yards total.
