Amari Cooper, WR

Despite his disappointing early fumble Thursday night, Cooper’s stock is still soaring coming off that epic eight-reception, 180-yard, two touchdown performance he posted in Week 12 against the Washington Redskins.

Against the Saints, and while going head-to-head with 2017 first rounder and the NFL’s reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year in cornerback Marshon Lattimore, Cooper was still able to lead the Cowboys with eight receptions for 75 yards.

Although Cooper wasn’t able to splash in the endzone, his stellar route running ability embarrassed one of the league’s top young corners at times.

The bye week trade for Cooper was met with much skepticism, especially because the two-time Pro Bowler cost Dallas their 2019 first round pick, which was sent to the Oakland Raiders. But the 24-year old receiver is proving that move was a season-saving one.

It’s unlikely the Dallas Cowboys are riding a four-game winning streak with big wins over the Philadelphia Eagles, Atlanta Falcons, Washington Redskins and the Saints without Amari Cooper on the roster. The sting of losing a first round pick is suddenly starting to feel less painful.
