Sean Lee, Linebacker

Stats: 18 total tackles, one interception

If there has ever been a season where linebacker Sean Lee has proven his worth to the Dallas Cowboys, it’s been in 2017. With Lee in the lineup, the Cowboys have a record of 6-2. Without him, Dallas is 1-4.

That fact alone should tell you how much a 31-year old Lee means to this Cowboys team. And against the Giants on Sunday, the eight-year veteran continued to cement his legacy in Dallas racking up an incredible 18 combined tackles in the divisional matchup.

Lee also recorded an interception late in the fourth quarter off of a tipped pass by rookie cornerback Chidobe Awuzie that help put the game away.

Unfortunately for Dallas, a hamstring injury has hindered their defensive leader all year. One can only dream about what this season might have been like for the Cowboys if Lee had played all 13 games so far. Instead, Dallas has only had him on the field for eight games so far this year.

Due to his age and injury history, the Dallas Cowboys have to find ways to be less dependent on Sean Lee in the coming seasons.
