Love for Jerry Jones? 10 thoughts about the Hall of Famer
1. Leading up to his induction, where was the love?
Well, this is a bit awkward. You’d think that someone from the Dallas Cowboys going into the great hall would receive a whole lot of love.
It goes to show you how much he is loved and hated (maybe more of the latter). Will Jerry Jones ever right his wrong with fans? Can the fans — deep breath here — ever find a way to open their hearts?
2. Jerry Jones and Jimmy Johnson
One day, soon I hope, we will see Jimmy Johnson in the Ring of Honor. It’s a pile of disrespect that he isn’t already in there. It’s never too late to turn over an old stone (or something like that). Jones could take a big leap towards fans by ushering Johnson in.
3. Jerry Jones and Tony Romo
When it comes down to it, I truly believe that Jones is sincere about wasting Tony Romo’s time with the Cowboys.
The Boys missed a big chance to land a sixth trophy with Romo in the wings. You can debate this all you want, but I do believe that Romo should have walked away with at least one ring.
Had Jones built a better roster, particularly around No. nine, when it mattered most, Romo’s narrative would be a very different one.
