The Dallas Cowboys made a massive jump from a perennial 8-8 club to a 12-4 team that came up just short of an NFC conference championship berth. Part of what helped them get over that hump was not only the several players who have always been stars when needed, but also a mix of role players who came up huge.

Linebacker Bruce Carter had some great moments, finishing the year with 68 tackles, five interceptions and even had one touchdown. Defensive end Jeremy Mincey led the team with 6 sacks and then there was also the surprise middle linebacker, Rolando McClain who had 81 tackles, two sacks and two picks.

On the offensive side, running back DeMarco Murray exploded to lead the league in rushing (and may have run himself out of town unfortunately), while wide receiver Cole Beasley came on strong at years’ end and wound up with four touchdown catches.

For a team to find success every season there needs to be surprise players like these guys. In 2015 the Dallas Cowboys look to continue to finish their fight and run the NFC East.

Here are four guys I believe will breakout and have career years to help make this next season another great one for the Dallas Cowboys.
